The wooden tables stand on the wrought-iron feet of antique sewing machines, the lampshades are old porcelain plates and on cold days a wood fire crackles and crackles cosily in the large, green tiled stove. The ascent to the Papststein is either short or long, depending on the route, and therefore fits into any winter hiking day. The pinnacle of hut romance is the \"Urige Baudenabend\" with homemade cheese fondue and regional wines.
