Lake Cospuden is also affectionately known as "Cossi". Its development into a lively leisure oasis is exemplary for the region.

 The development of Lake Cospuden from an open-cast lignite mine to a lively leisure oasis is exemplary for the region. The Zöbigker harbour with its water sports facilities, restaurants, passenger boats, sauna, bike and boat hire is a popular meeting place for young and old. Saxony's longest sandy beach on the northern shore is ideal for swimming and beach volleyball. Water hikers can paddle along water course 1 from the city harbor in the heart of Leipzig to Lake Cospuden. There is a wonderful view from the Bistumshöhe tower over the Neue Harth and the BELANTIS amusement park.

At the easternmost beach pavilion, Seeblick, wheelchair users can also swim thanks to a barrier-free bathing jetty. From an inclined jetty, you can drive your wheelchair directly into the water and swim from the end of the jetty.
The north beach also has a wheelchair-accessible changing room and a toilet with a EURO key.
Passengers can park near the barrier-free jetty.
