To the south of Lake Markkleeberg is the 700-hectare Lake Störmthal, connected by the canoe park lock.

You can visit the floating cultural island VINETA by ferry. 3D archery, motorboat trips, sailing trips, windsurfing and spectacular flights with the VINETA-Fly are all possible on Lake Störmthal. Every year in August, the three-day "Highfield" festival takes place with live acts from rock to hip-hop and up to 35,000 visitors. The LAGOVIDA vacation resort ensures a relaxing vacation right on the water.
