The **St. Bartholomew´s Chapel** is a **memorial** of **F. W. Sertürner**, the discoverer of morphine.

 Many know **St. Bartholomew´s Chapel** as the **burial place of Friedrich Wilhelm Sertürner**. A stone inside the chapel mentions Sertürner nowadays. However, only few know that St. Bartholomew used to be part of a former **lazar and poor house**.

The chapel sometimes hosts **prayers, (art) exhibits or theater plays** today. 

**The St. Bartholomew´s Chapel consists of two parts:**
