description: "The diverse tree population and the ponds, small lakes and crystal-clear watercourses in the forest area make Trocheler Forst one of the most beautiful forests in the district. A nature trail, which was created as part of the \"Samtgemeinde Bothel - Naturally\" project, connects the three villages of Bothel, Brockel and Hemslingen with educational hiking trails. During a walk, you will find exciting and helpful information about nesting boxes, species, tree species and much more. You can also explore the Silbersee lake in Trocheler Forst. This was once created by soil extraction and is around 2,000 square meters in size. The many animal and plant species make the Silbersee an extremely interesting ecosystem. The lake used to be a training ground for hunting dogs. Today, many dragonflies frolic here and grass frogs also give their atmospheric concert in summer."
