Directions

Follow the black 2 on a white background in the Polish part!

**1. Szklarska Poręba - Stanisław Mine**
The first part of the route offers a challenging ascent. Over 7.5 km, about 350 meters of altitude have to be overcome. The reward is the quartzite mining areas with sensational landscapes. It's worth taking a longer break here to take a closer look at the scenery.

**2. Stanisław Mine - Czech Border**

The second section of the route runs on forest paths that are generally pleasant to ride. However, two sections are somewhat more difficult. A short stony connecting path (at km 10.4) leads to the new sports center in the border town of Jakuszyce.

**3. Harrachov - Mumlava**

Next comes the most pleasant part of the route. After a gravel descent to Harrachov station, it goes for a long time on luxurious asphalt. The Giant Mountains road takes us along the mountain river Mumlava and to the Mumlava waterfall, which many consider the most beautiful waterfall in the Giant Mountains. The entire section is beautiful, however: with numerous rapids and impressive ramps.

**4. Giant Mountains - Jakuszyce**

At the intersection we turn towards Poland. It continues uphill, with the slope no more than 10%. From kilometer 40 it goes downhill. The road is smooth and shady. On this part of the route, there are few viewpoints over the landscape.

**5. Polish Border - Szklarska Poręba**

We enter Poland again on the heavily frequented road 10. After approx. 2 km, the route switches back to forest gravel down to the town. On the way, you pass a dilapidated stone processing plant.
