This side of the Lenne river is slightly more quiet in comparison to the adjacent hill that accommodates the well-known Altena castle. On this idyllic circular route you will see birds flying around and you may even encounter roedeer.

You will walk through the woods, west of the Lenne river, around the Latten mountain and at a later stage you will pass the Tiergarten quarter that is part of the central city of Altena, but doesn't bear any ressemblance to a city. Beautiful views of the Altena castle are included and then you will continue over the Lenne river and through Altena's town centre back to the starting point.
