Our route now leads us away from the border, and we follow the Krippenbach steadily downhill towards the Elbe. Along the way, we cross the Saxon Central Uplands route and pass through small towns such as Kleingießhübel and Krippen, where we join the Elbe Cycle Path. From here we are flexible and could return to our desired starting point at any station of the S-Bahn line S1.
