Since it runs largely away from roads, it is ideal for family outings. The starting point of the route is the station in Grimma. In front of Gattersburg Castle, the path leads onto Kellerhäuser Straße and then along the Mulde Cycle Path past the Augustinian Monastery Church and Grimma Castle. There the route turns right and crosses the United Mulde. After the bridge, follow the Mulde Cycle Path which runs through the towns of Dorna and Nerchau to Neichen. A short detour to Trebsen is possible if you cross the bridge in Neichen. Otherwise, the route continues along the Mulde, passes Dehnitz, and finally reaches the destination in Wurzen.
