 The 'Pestwurz' (Butterbur) trail starts in Buchenau and first takes you to Lindberger Schachten (Schachten are former mountain pastures) and Hirschbachschwelle near the German-Czech border. It then continues through Zwieselter Filz to Kohlschachten. Next, you'll enter Latschenfilz, where you can take a detour to Latschensee in the midst of the raised bog before reaching Hochschachten.
