Directions

The Parthe-Mulde cycle route mainly runs along the bank of the Parthe on paved or asphalted cycle paths through park landscapes and on quiet field or forest paths. In the cities, you mainly travel on marked, separate cycle paths and only rarely have to use lightly trafficked roads outside urban areas. The route is signposted and begins in Leipzig. It then leads via Taucha, Borsdorf, Beucha near Brandis, Naunhof and Parthenstein to Grimma.

The Parthe-Mulde cycle route connects the Elster cycle path with the Mulde cycle path.

Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author

A small detour to Kirchbruch Beucha is worthwhile, as it provided the base material for the Völkerschlachtdenkmal in Leipzig.

By the way, a clear heart shape can be seen from a bird's-eye view.

**E-bike charging stations:**

Brandis: Beucha Station, Albrechtshainer See

Leipzig: Leipzig Zoo, Gohliser Schlösschen
