In the cities, you mainly travel on marked, separate cycle paths and only rarely have to use lightly trafficked roads outside urban areas. The route is signposted and begins in Leipzig. It then leads via Taucha, Borsdorf, Beucha near Brandis, Naunhof and Parthenstein to Grimma. The Parthe-Mulde cycle route connects the Elster cycle path with the Mulde cycle path.
