Welcome to the village train station of the 20th century: In a time when the railway was still the "German Federal Railway", the passengers bought Edmondsonsche tickets ("cardboard tickets") at the ticket counter before the train departed and even in the village station an official station master was still responsible for the proper railway operation monitored. And in which the journey then led in a rattling rail bus or the puffing steam locomotive from Dümpelfeld on the Ahr in a leisurely ride past Eifeld villages such as Müsch, Niederehe or Walsdorf to Jünkerath in the Vulkaneifel.
station gastronomy
Visit the station and make yourself comfortable in the goods shed, signal box or service room. Our train station cafe will be happy to serve you warm dishes such as pancakes, railway workers' pans or railway workers' snacks, as well as homemade cakes - and give you a little break from everyday life.
