On the first weekend in July, the "temporary gallery" will once again open at the print studio "The Fork and Broom Press" in Oppenwehe. Print artist Annette C. Dißlin will be showing her works, prints and books in the old barn next to the studio. The place has a very special atmosphere, and a cozy seating area invites you to linger.
If you haven't had a chance to take a look at the anniversary work "Schmausbuch Nummer 2" yet, you can do so now. It was created to mark the 25th anniversary of the printing studio. It contains around a dozen recipe themes, each with its own story. They are all linked to places where the artist has lived, to experiences that have shaped her. The recipes use fruit and vegetables that grow easily in her own garden. The book is part of the "Giving diversity a home!" series.
It has become a good tradition at the "Galerie auf Zeit" that there is something special to discover every year. This year, the artist is opening her bulging box of leftovers. In it are cuttings and remnants: selected beautiful papers, cardboard, fabrics and much more. A real treasure trove for all those who are creative themselves.
The studio "The Fork and Broom Press" is LandArt station 5.16 in the Mühlenkreis and is located directly on the L765, the link between Rahden and Lemförde. There are parking spaces in the courtyard, also covered for bicycles. The barn is right next to the studio and is largely barrier-free.
