The culinary highlight in Melle finally begins again on Corpus Christi: after a 2-year break due to the coronavirus, the restaurateurs from Melle, supported by the merchants of Melle town center and the town of Melle, show what's in their pots and pans. On the town hall square, the restaurateurs offer delicious dishes whose preparation you can hear as the ingredients sizzle in the pan or the punch bubbles in the glass - beautifully prepared, making it difficult to choose from the variety of different dishes - deliciously tasting as the tongue touches the delicacies and the palate is caressed. The chefs attach great importance to high-quality and varied dishes and the low prices also offer the opportunity to eat deliciously different dishes more often. The four-day event is organized by the retail traders of the Melle-City advertising association and the "Melle tischt auf Arbeitsgemeinschaft". The small wooden houses - placed around a centrally seated tent - create a cozy atmosphere. The tent offers great independence from the weather - although it is of course much nicer to dine and chat outdoors in glorious weather. All the hosts coordinate their menus in advance so that a wide variety of delicious dishes are on offer and visitors are surprised by the creativity of the chefs every year. This year, the menus have also been expanded to include a variety of vegetarian dishes. Wines can also be served at the stands. Beer, soft drinks and much more are offered at the communal stand in the tent. The popular cocktail bar is also located there. You will be surprised by the variety on offer. The hosts spoil their guests daily from 11.00 a.m., on Friday the delicacies are offered from 5.00 p.m. onwards. Many friends from near and far already have this event firmly in their diaries, as it always begins on Corpus Christi and ends after 4 days, this year on Sunday, June 19. The stores in Melle town center are open on Corpus Christi and offer a wide range of shopping opportunities. In keeping with the start of summer, the stores offer the latest trends and suitable items for the upcoming vacation. On Saturday, June 18, the stores invite you to a long shopping Saturday until 6 pm.
