Bike Action Day between Blankenheim, Hillesheim, Müsch, and Ahrbrück with numerous action points along the route. Car-free Ahr valley between Blankenheim and Dümpelfeld. More information: www.tour-de-ahrtal.de
The approximately 60-kilometer route leads from the Ahr spring in Blankenheim to Ahrbrück through the idyllic Ahr valley. Those who wish can alternatively switch to the Kalkeifel cycle path towards Hillesheim in Ahrdorf. A highlight: The federal road B 258 and the state road L 73 between Blankenheim and Dümpelfeld are specially closed to car traffic for this day – thus offering a unique, car-free cycling experience.
The official opening will take place at 10:00 AM at the Curtius-Schulten-Platz in Blankenheim. After a welcome from representatives of the organizers, cyclists will receive the traditional "Cyclist's Blessing." At the same time, participants will start from Ahrbrück on the Ahr cycle path towards Blankenheim.
Along the route, 14 action points provide variety, entertainment, and refreshments. Whether info booths, interactive activities, culinary offerings, bike coding, or repair services – there is something for everyone. Additionally, participants can take part in a large raffle: Those who collect at least four stamps at the action points secure a chance to win great prizes. The winners will be drawn after the event and notified personally.
