We are the Duden family from Kalbe near Sittensen and have been growing aronia berries on our farm since 2015.
Never heard of the aronia berry?
It's worth getting to know this berry, because superfood doesn't have to come from another continent. The berry is naturally tart in flavour, but you can always mix it with something sweet.
We only use aronia berries from our own fields for our homemade products.
This gives us complete control over the quality of our products. The majority of the berries are immediately processed into 100% direct juice in the cidery. The berries are also processed into various jams, chutneys and other special seasonal products. In winter, we recommend mixing them with apple juice, lemon and cinnamon to make a particularly delicious punch.

With the products we offer, there are many ways to consume aronia berries in various forms every day.

By car:
The best way to reach Kalbe by car from Bremen and Hamburg is via the A1 motorway (Sittensen exit). From there, simply follow the signs for "Sittensen". In the town centre, turn off towards Tiste, cross the town and then turn left towards Kalbe.
By public transport:
By public transport, take the "Metronom" train from Hamburg main station or Bremen main station to Tostedt station. From there you can take the "Oste-Sprinter" bus in the direction of Sittensen. More information at www.vnn.de

Combine a visit to our farm with a short trip to the Tister Bauernmoor. From the moor tower you have a fantastic view of the rewetted moorland.
