Immensen

Immensen, a village and southern hamlet of the town of Einbeck —located about 5.5 km away— lies on the L 572, the Leine-Heide Bike Trail, and the “Salt and Castles” circular bike route, and has approximately 329 residents (as of January 2, 2024). The village borders theLeinepolder EU Special Protection Area ().

The village is one of the oldest settlements in the Einbeck district and was known for horse breeding in the first half of the 20th century .

Culture and Attractions

• On the outskirts of the village is a golf course that, since its conversion to an 18-hole course in 2012, has featured what was once the longest par 5 in Europe.

Immensen also features:
Afarm stand where you can buy products such as potatoes, tomatoes, flowers, and more.

At the entrance to town, coming from Einbeck, is the Immensen kindergarten, attended by children from Immensen and the surrounding villages.

The “Salt and Castles” circular bike trail passes through Immensen.
