The Theater Metronom is a small but well-equipped theater with 100 seats in a village after Visselhövede with just under 20 inhabitants, on the southern edge of the Lüneburg Heath.
In a converted hall on a farm, diagonally opposite a large collection of cows, we offer a varied program with 50-60 performances a year. The symbiosis of agrarian culture and theater culture works excellently in mutual respect for the different realities of life.
We show our own productions and guest performances by other theaters, as well as plays for children and young people. However, our theater is not only a venue, but also a workshop in which we produce, experiment, carry out theater projects with young people, children and adults and seek to address current issues.
We perform our plays by invitation in theaters and on stages throughout Germany, in German-speaking and non-German-speaking countries. We strive for a continuous exchange with other theaters, participate in festivals and symposia in order to be able to present a cosmopolitan, friction-capable and touching theater even in the "small" Hütthof.
