- Destination: Wallenstein / Hülsa / Kankowski Hütte
Along meadows and forests, this path offers fascinating views over the Rinne Valley to the Kellerwald, as well as to Knüllköpfchen and Eisenberg, the two highest elevations in the Knüll region. Near Hülsa, depending on the season, you can wander through colorful meadows with wild orchids. When you turn your gaze to the side, a unique panorama unfolds. The highlight of the circular route is the Lochbachklamm, the only one of its kind in North Hesse. The Lochbach gently flows over sandstone, creating an enchanting landscape of ferns beneath the leafy forest canopy. Numerous wooden bridges provide fantastic changes in perspective, while benches invite you to enjoy the tranquility and the sound of trickling water and linger for a while. At Wallenstein, the gorge opens up again to a meadow valley with diverse orchards.
After successful recertification by the German Hiking Institute, the Lochbachpfad is officially recognized as a premium hiking trail.
The fairytale trail "Lochbachpfad" is depicted as Premium Hiking Trail 6 Lochbachpfad in the overview (Naturpark Knüll flyer).
