CYCLE TOUR FROM SÜDPARK TO GRÄFRATH
Cycle through Solingen on the Korkenziehertrasse
Cycling through Solingen on the Korkenziehertrasse is an absolute pleasure. The old railway line winds its way through the city like a green ribbon. Lined with trees and lots of greenery. Its winding route is reminiscent of a corkscrew prompting the railway that used to run along here to be known as the “corkscrew line”.
Cycling with non-stop panoramic views
Extraordinary views of the varied landscape open up time and time again on this tour. The cycle path along the route with virtually no uphill sections is an easy ride. Ideal for a day out with children.
Lots of exciting stops await you along the route
Just park your bike up for a while, in the Südpark around Solingen’s old main train station, for instance. The Plagiarius Museum there offers exciting insights to young visitors. Or take a look in the studios of the artists who have settled in this area, at the Galerie Kirschey for example.
Taking a break can be fun too: The historic old town of Gräfrath with its inviting cafés and restaurants is a great place to take a break.
