1. viewing platform SCHÖNUNGSTEICHE
Over the years, the Schönungsteich ponds, which were originally created to protect the Bega river, have developed into a good habitat for flora and fauna.
A viewing platform by the ponds has become a perfect place to observe the wildlife undisturbed.
2. ZIEGENSTEIN-HOF HÖRSTMAR
Idyllically situated by the babbling Limmebach stream, the Ziegenstein-Hof not only offers unique natural spectacles, but also a gastronomic
pampering program with products from the region and its own garden thanks to the Stein family. Nature and animal lovers will get their money's worth, not least because of the charming half-timbered house, built in 1762 and restored with great attention to detail.
3. HEIDEN VILLAGE CHURCH TURNED CHURCH TOWER
The Heiden village church is a Gothic hall church whose origins date back to around 950. The church was built between 950 and 1025 and its special features
include the twisted church tower and the murals inside the church.
4. PRINCIPAL RESIDENTIAL CASTLE OF DETMOLD
The Princely Residential Palace of Detmold was the seat of the ruling family from the 16th century until 1918.
5. AUENPARK LEMGO
In the heart of Lemgo, just a few steps away from the banks of the Bega, the Auenpark with an area of 2.0 hectares offers numerous opportunities for relaxation. Although the Auenpark is one of the smaller parks in the area, its numerous green spaces and seating areas make it a great place for a nice walk or simply to linger.
