Around 10 million migratory birds rest in the entire Wadden Sea every year on their way between the breeding grounds in the north and the wintering grounds in the south. The reason: waders and waterfowl find enough food in the mudflats to replenish their energy reserves. The rhythm of the birds is therefore not based on day and night, but on high and low tide. They feed when the water is rising and falling and sleep at high tide. We observe the migratory birds with binoculars and spotting scopes from various locations. Of course, interesting facts about the individual species will also be reported.
Registration: by email, telephone, online or in person.
Equipment: Weatherproof clothing recommended, if available, please bring binoculars.
Accessibility: The excursion of approx. 3 km only leads over paved paths. We stay longer for observation, there is no seating available.
