Backpackers INN

Guests can drive right up to the door by car and park there for a fee (Mon. - Fri. 9 am - 5 pm). You can also cycle directly to the front door. Bicycle racks are only 30 meters from the Backpackers INN entrance.
From the train station Einbeck-Mitte or the bus station ZOB it is only a 10 minute walk.

Philosophy:

The Backpackers INN music bar was launched in 2013 and has since hosted many different concerts in Einbeck and participated in various events together with cultural partners in the region. Backpackers INN is well established in the national and international cultural scene and has built up a good reputation over the past seven years. Our venues are a field for experimentation, a breeding ground, a launch pad, everyday culture, an opportunity and a great enrichment for Einbeck, the surrounding area and the whole of southern Lower Saxony.

We see ourselves as an institution for developing new cultural ideas and utopias for a small-town area. Our projects provide artistic impulses in the town, deal with its own history or with questions of integration, media, pop or punk, interculture and inclusion, ecology or economy.

As a young club with young employees, we want to put on a fresh, young and varied program at Backpackers INN for Einbeck and the southern Lower Saxony region - with a mix of grassroots and established bands.

Subculture is particularly close to our hearts. Musicians with new ideas and new concepts for club appearances are therefore very welcome. In addition to performances by national artists and bands, we also welcome international musicians from Austria, Switzerland, England and the USA.

For a small town like Einbeck, we see great added value in cross-generational exchange and cooperation. Culture in general and music in particular can serve as a unifying element here, it brings people together. Music is something very creative, and creativity is both female and male. Both sides are very strong and very different - this diversity can be heard here.

We don't limit ourselves to one musical genre, but want to make music a cross-cultural experience and bring together the musical richness of diversity - also among immigrants and locals in Einbeck and the region. The most common genres of our concerts are singer/songwriter, rock, alternative rock and indie. But sometimes also pop, electropop, metal and punk.
We are convinced that music creates an emotional connection, as it plays a central role in non-verbal communication and can convey the joy of exchange and dialog between different cultures. Furthermore, gender equality, LGBT and imaginative issues are more important to us than mass appeal. Especially in the music industry, women are underrepresented on stage. The most innovative ideas are sought and supported.

Einbeck has had a lively music scene for many years. It has been home to the Mendelsohn Music School for classical music for 40 years, the Sommerfeld Music School for 30 years and the M1 Music School for pop music for 15 years. The creative musicians from all over Germany on our stage not only give concert-goers the opportunity to develop their own ideas, but also to further develop what they have already seen, test new ideas for their audience suitability and creatively equip the stages of the world. Over the past 10 years, not only have many bands emerged in Einbeck, but the periphery around the bands has also grown considerably. We also see it as our task and strength to bring together and network the cultural sector as a whole.
