A farm to touch and experience for young and old guests

Welcome to the farm in Burgsittensen!

A place of encounters on approx. 30,000 m²:
At the Klostergut, we offer children in particular a special way of learning and experiencing: by being close to and interacting with our chickens, rabbits and goats, children learn to take responsibility for other living creatures and to recognise connections. For adults, we also offer a colourful range of events throughout the year events throughout the year, from culture and music, history and entertainment to history and entertainment, and everything to do with agriculture. Once a year, for example the so-called cowshed cinema takes place on the estate or how about the how about the four seasons workshop, in which we make and build useful and decorative and decorative items from natural materials. Guided tours of the estate the estate, through the buildings and to the hereditary burial site of the von Schulte can be booked. These are offered by the tour guides of the joint municipality of

Castle experience - individual programmes for kindergartens and school classes
When is what sown, which feed is suitable for which animal and how much milk does a cow actually produce? Exciting questions that we answer together with the children, and theoretical principles can be manifested through research, exploration, experimentation, discovery, experience and comprehension with all the senses! The respective programme of the stay is implemented according to the age and developmental stage and the wishes of the educators or teachers. The visits to the Klostergut can be carried out once or regularly.

Castle Escape - The Scavenger Hunt for Children
The good old scavenger hunt is for children aged 5-12 years (difficulty level is adapted to age). It offers exercise in the fresh air with a series of puzzles, clues and strategies, as well as strengthening team spirit - what more could you want for an exciting afternoon? Once the puzzle has been solved, we fortify ourselves with a meal together, freshly prepared by the group. The experience lasts approx. 3 hours.

Annual farm courses - for children aged 1 year and over
You can marvel, discover and explore in our annual courses "Farm Mice", "Castle Gnomes", "Castle Robbers" and "Castle Studio". For example, in the annual "Burg-Räuber" course, a fixed group of children aged 7 to 10 meets from March to November to experience the growth and changes in the garden and courtyard, in the forest, fields and meadows with all their senses. The children gain an insight into the course of the year on a farm. When is what sown, which feed is suitable for which animal and how much milk does a cow actually produce? Exciting questions that we answer together with the children.
If you have any questions about our programmes, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to welcoming everyone!
