Immensen, a village and southern town of the city of Einbeck, which is approx. 5.5 km away, is located on the L 572, on the Leine-Heide-Radweg and on the RadrundwegSalz und Burgenand has approx. 329 inhabitants (as of 02.01.2024). The nature reserve Leinepolder borders on the village.
The village is one of the oldest places in the district of Einbeck and was known in the first half of the 20th century for its Polder.
Furthermore, in Immensen:
Farm shop where you can buy seasonal regional agricultural produce such as potatoes, tomatoes, flowers, etc.
As well as a village store "Die Alte Backstube", which is well-known and popular beyond the borders of Immensen.

The circular cycle route "Salt and castles" leads past Immensen.
