The Bothmer chapel is located in the Bothmer district of the recognized resort of Schwarmstedt - an ideal detour during a cycle tour on the Aller cycle path.
The Bothmer Chapel was built in 1610 by Abbot Conrad as a donation from the canon Otto von Bothmer and served as a palace and parish church until 1791. It was then closed and used as a granary for almost 200 years. In 1981, Günther von Bothmer had it refurbished with the support of the church, the district and the Klosterkammer. Today, church services and weddings are occasionally held there.
