Church
The historic brick basilica is located in the heart of the old town.

The construction of this Gothic vaulted basilica began in the 13th century by Archbishop Giselbert, the founder of the town of Buxtehude. The church with its three altars is the most important monument from the Hanseatic period alongside the Fleth.

On Saturdays from 11:00 - 11:30 you can listen to the organ music at market time.

Openings

The congregation endeavors to keep the church open four hours a day from Monday to Saturday from March to October. This is thanks to the voluntary commitment of its members.
