Author´s Tip / Recommendation of the author
The Hammerhof Forest Information Center is home to a state environmental education facility with changing exhibitions. From the bison tower, you have an overview of the 170-hectare bison enclosure. The endangered bison, back-bred tarpan horses, white red deer and wild boar live here.
The former Cistercian monastery in Hardehausen is still a building complex worth visiting today.
