5.6 km long circular trail east of Rühen

The nature trail leads through the Lower Saxon part of the Drömling, the largest wetland in the region and of international importance. Since the 18th century, the Drömling has been drained several times by human intervention and cultivated for agriculture. Animal and plant habitats have been altered and even threatened with extinction. The nature trail shows the transformation of a natural landscape into a cultivated landscape at seven stations.
