The almost 22 km long circular tour leads partly along the River Ems, past the "Rietberger Fischteiche" nature reserve with a viewpoint, through the "Rietberger Emsniederungen" nature reserve and on to the "Steinhorster Becken" nature reserve. With a bit of luck, you may spot the common snipe, curlew and other endangered animals.

Cross through the town hall, Rg. Bolzenmarkt - follow Rügenstraße, then Klosterstraße - turn left into Torfweg - after approx. 100 m cross the road at the traffic lights - pass between Gartenschaupark and the outdoor pool - behind the outdoor pool turn right - along the Ems - at the end turn right - straight on to Delbrücker Straße - cross the road - follow Delbrücker Straße - just before the B 64 turn left into Birkendamm - follow the Ems cycle path - follow Im Thüle - turn right, follow Im Wiesengrund - turn left into Westerloher Straße - turn right, follow Im Winkel - turn right at Lipplinger Straße - turn left into Ziegelstraße - at the end turn right into Westerwieher Straße - after a few meters turn left to Steinhorster Becken - back via Westerwieher Straße - Ziegelstraße - Lipplinger Straße to the Westerwiehe district - turn left at the church - follow Westerwieher Straße - turn left into Kühler Grund - turn right at Plumpe Straße - take the next sharp left - follow In den Marken Straße - turn right at the fork in Zur Antfängers Mühle and follow In den Marken Straße - keep left until you reach Teichwiesen Straße, follow this and past the Gartenschaupark - turn left into Torfweg - take the next right - straight on to the town hall

A2, exit 23 Rheda-Wiedenbrück/Rietberg, continue on the B64 to Rietberg Zentrum.
Torfweg, opposite the Gartenschaupark Rietberg (entrance Mitte/Historischer Stadtkern).
