The focus of the first three favorite cycle routes in the Mühlenkreis is the Weser Cycle Path, for good reason the most popular long-distance cycle path in Germany for years.
About 55 km lead through the Mühlenkreis and connect some of the most beautiful destinations. Our "Weser loops" can be cycled individually or combined as you wish.
Starting at the Rehmer Insel in Bad Oeynhausen, the first route leads upstream along the Weser Cycle Path before crossing the Weser. On the right-hand side of the Weser, the route leads through the fields and offers a unique view of Porta Westfalica with the television tower and the Kaiser Wilhelm monument. The northernmost point is the historic town of Minden, which invites you to make a stopover with its many sights, cafés and restaurants. The route then leads back along the Weser through Porta Westfalica to Bad Oeynhausen.
Tip: Leave the junction network at junction 48 with a detour to the Kaiser Wilhelm monument!
It is also worth taking a detour to Bad Oeynhausen town center at junction 51. From junction 51, follow the signposted LandART route to the spots worth seeing in Bad Oeynhausen. The route then leads along junctions 54, 51 and 52 along the Werre back to the starting point.
