Torgian cycling path

The route starts in Torgau at the famous Hartenfels Castle directly on the Elbe. The route leads along Schloßstraße via the market square past the Büßrgermeister-Ringenhain-Haus to "Friedrichplatz". You then pass the Torgau district hospital and Fort Zinna castle before leaving Torgau behind you and reaching Süptitz via Zinna. The cycle path now continues through the Dübener Heide Nature Park, which impresses with its magnificent pine groves and extensive areas of mixed forest. On the way, you pass the villages of Weidenhain, Roitzsch, Pressel and Authausen before reaching the spa town of Bad Düben. At Bad Düben Castle, the cycle path crosses the Mulde bridge and continues to the right along the Vereinigte Mulde to Löbnitz. The tour then continues south past Seehausener See via Benndorf to Delitzsch.

• A9 Berlin-Munich → Coswig exit → via Wittenberg to Torgau (approx. 70 km)

• A14 Halle-Dresden → Leipzig Nord-Ost exit → via Eilenburg to Torgau (approx. 50 km)

Take the train or the S-Bahn to Torgau. From here, it is less than 15 minutes to the starting point of the route.

The start in the opposite direction is possible and there is also a train and S-Bahn connection in Delitzsch.
