Winter tour to the Siebensteinkopf

This varied and challenging tour leads through the eastern part of the national park. In addition to the summit on Siebensteinkopf, we can experience cultural-historical testimonies on the former life in the forest for example at Reschbachklause. Today, this landscape is characterized by natural dynamics: windthrow, snow-break and bark beetles, but also beavers are the creators of the national park woodlands and waters. We also pass Finsterauer Filz, a renaturalized bog which is part of the Bavarian Forest National Park since 2022.
