Castle Tour at Olbrück Castle
As in every year, the medieval Olbrück Castle, the landmark of the Brohl Valley, can be experienced again with an enthusiastic tour guide every 1st Sunday of the month.
The tour is exciting and informative for both children and adults. Here, history can be experienced up close and "grasped".
Our tip:
Why not leave the car behind and travel by the Vulkan-Expreß? It departs from Brohltal Station in Brohl-Lützing at 10:15 AM. In a comfortable ride, you will reach the final station Engeln at 11:40 AM, where you’ll have time for a lunch break.
Around noon, you will individually hike on the well-marked Osteifel Trail over Brenk to Olbrück Castle. The distance is approximately 5.5 km; alternatively, from Brenk Station, it's about 3.5 km.
After the castle tour, you will head back on the Osteifel Trail: The route continues downhill in about 45 minutes (4 km) to Oberzissen Station, where you will catch the "Vulkan-Expreß" again at 4:55 PM. Arrival in Brohl-Lützing at 5:40 PM.
