The exhibition focuses on the field post of Paul Lefmann - pianist, choirmaster and music teacher from Bremen,
who was stationed in the occupied territories of France during the First World War.
His words provide an insight into the reality of war, but also reflect the inner world of fear, hope, humanity - and a deep longing for peace. The exhibition opens up a space of encounter - between past and present, between Germany and France, and between the voices of that time and our responsibility today.
The exhibition is free to visit.
The exhibition "An unimaginable longing for peace - Paul Lefmann (1893-1929) - Bremen field post from the First World War" can be seen from February 26 to April 17 at the Diözesanmuseum Osnabrück.
