This guided hike with Stefan Steinke starts at the Bienhof and leads past species-rich protected mountain meadows and varied mixed forests to the Bohemian Sattelberg (724m). This offers a panoramic view of the Bohemian low mountain range, the heights of the Eastern Ore Mountains, the Dresden Elbe Valley and Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland. The striking open cultural landscape with the so-called "stone ridges" and wooded stream valleys stretches all around. The Sattelberg offers special geological features with its basalt columns, the boulder dump and a sandstone cave. The return route takes you back to Mordgrund, where you will have time for a snack at the historic Bienhof mill.
