Around 1806, a trestle windmill was built at the south-western end of the village. The first owner of this mill was the miller Johann Christoph Tzschanter. The windmill, which had been damaged by war and storms, was demolished in 1891. Today, only a plaque at the entrance reminds us of the old mill site, which has been a popular place of excursions for decades. The innkeeper even wrote a poem about the mill on an old picture postcard.

so ist in einer Sturmnacht
die Mühle hier zerschellt.
