The Bio City Leipzig technology and start-up centre is a research facility that links business, science and research. Three-quarters of the 20,000 m² site, opened in 2003, is used by biotechnology companies and one-quarter by the Biotechnological-Biomedical Centre of the University of Leipzig. Together with the university's professors, young and future-oriented companies can set new standards in the fields of biotechnology, biomedicine and health care. The numerous office and laboratory spaces provide optimal conditions for the successful development of future technologies.
