St. Nicholas's Cemetery is the oldest burial place in Görlitz. It was already laid out in the 12th century and today it seems to be an enchanted place. Important citizens of the city were buried here, such as the famous theosophist Jacob Böhme (1575 - 1624).
Information on the grave of Jacob Böhme: various tomb slabs were founded by "Oberlausitzische Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften" (Upper Lusatian Society of Science) and American Böhme friends.
