This chapel building goes back to a promise made by Johannes Stiewe, who was released to his homeland in 1948 as a prisoner of war in the former Yugoslavia during the Second World War. The late returnee August Dionysius arrived in 1956 on one of the last trains at a prison camp in Siberia (Russia). Both were the initiators of this beautiful Marian chapel. Further information can be found inside the chapel.
