The Höfe am Brühl, with its characteristic and modern aluminium façade, is also a visual highlight in Leipzig's city centre. It unites tradition and modernity. The façade of the "Blechbüchse" ("tin can") was preserved as a Leipzig landmark at the head of the courtyards, as was a 15-metre-long remnant of the sandstone façade from the Wilhelminian era.
