Built in the 15th century, the church has been used as a venue for concerts and cabaret since 1985.

The tower and nave of Kniestedt church were built at the end of the 15th century, rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century and given their current shape around the middle of the 18th century after the windows were enlarged. The Kniestedt church has been used as a venue for concerts and cabaret since 1985 and is affectionately called the Kniki by the locals.
