The Martin Luther Church was built between 1955 and 1957 by the Bremen architect Gildemeister for parish district III of the Scheeßel parish.
The architectural style is modeled on a sheepfold or farmhouse. The front of the church forms an equilateral triangle. The white plastered building blends in well with the village structure.
The church's furnishings include a baroque altar from the church in Scheeßel and a valuable communion chalice from 1703.
