Idyllic campsite on the site of a former moated castle

Our family-run "Alte Löweninsel" campsite is located on the historic site of an old moated castle. The moat and castle pond have been preserved. Here you will find relaxation in the middle of nature. It is the ideal starting point for activities in the region.

An extensive network of cycle paths takes you both to the nearby Lüneburg Heath and to the district town of Rotenburg (Wümme). The artists' village of Fischerhude can even be cycled to directly from Lauenbrück on the Wümme cycle path.

For those who prefer walking, the NORDPFADE trails are just the thing. The NORDPFAD Wümme and Vareler Heide is approx. 1 km away. The entry point for canoeing enthusiasts is located directly in Lauenbrück on the Wümme. There is also a canoe rental company on site. And at the gates of Lauenbrück is the LandPark, a family-friendly wildlife park that is home to numerous old breeds of farm animals and offers many opportunities for play and relaxation for all generations.

So there is a lot to discover.
Come and visit us, we look forward to seeing you!
