The Naturraum NaturErlebnisRaum Dohrenberg near the Einbeck village of Salzderhelden impresses with its unique natural landscape and views of the Leinepolder, the B3 bridge and Heldenburg Salzderhelden. The Dohrenberg area was opened up to the public by an initiative of volunteer and nature-loving citizens, the Salzderhelden local council and representatives of the town of Einbeck.
At any time of year, there is something for nature-loving and environmentally conscious hikers to discover along the newly created hiking trail network. For example, nature lovers will find rare orchid species and gentians as well as many protected butterflies, moths and a rich bird life on the Dohrenberg in an old cultivated landscape.
An important tip for a visit:Visitors and hikers to the Dohrenberg are asked to stay on the paths to protect nature and numerous animal species and to take care of the environment. Please do not throw garbage and leftover food from a picnic into the countryside, but dispose of it at home.
There is a vineyard on the Dohrenberg. The grape harvest is always a very special day for the amateur winegrowers on the Dohrenberg. The Rotling from the grapes of the "Müller Thurgau" and "Red Regent" varieties is taken from the "Käsebusch" vineyard to a winegrower friend on the Moselle, who takes over the vinification of the wine. Afterwards, we return to Salzderhelden.
Here you can immerse yourself visually (360°) in the wonderful natural surroundings:
