Circular route 'Buntspecht' (Spotted woodpecker) - From Racheldiensthütte to Rachelsee

On this trail, you can explore the wild forest nature at the foot of the Rachel. One of the highlights surely is Lake Rachel, being the only natural lake within the national park. An Ice Age educational trail and the rock formation Felsenkanzel are further highlights on this tour, as well as a stop at Racheldiensthütte. The circular path 'Buntspecht' (Spotted woodpecker) is certified by Deutscher Wanderverband (German Hiking Association) as a quality path in the category of ‘nature pleasures’.
