- Start: Start/finish: Kassenstraße parking lot, at the Dörentrup community center
- Destination: Start/finish: Kassenstraße parking lot, at the Dörentrup community center
Most of the route runs along unpaved paths. The section between Dörentrup and Blomenstein in particular offers wonderful panoramic views of the countryside. The start and finish is the community center in Dörentrup. Behind the outdoor pool, you enter the Pottkuhle landscape park. The field path now leads along the Mühlingsbach stream around the Röhenberg to the Teufelsberg with a great view.
Below the Habichtsberg, the route mainly leads through the forest to Hohensonne. The route then follows a district road to Sibbentrup and on to Bega. In Bega, we find the equestrian center and the Ehlerts family's pig farm. After Bega, the path leads us back into the forest and we reach the Osterberg and the Luhberg. After Hagendonop, the route continues along field paths through Lütte to Vogelhorst. Shortly before Lemgo, we reach Café Walkenmühle. The route takes us on the outskirts of Lemgo via side roads to the Staff Landscape Park. The park offers a beautiful view over Lemgo. We now head back into the forest with a bit of momentum. The picturesque forest paths lead us past the former Maibolte landfill site through the Lemgo city forest back to Dörentrup.
Pottkuhle
The Pottkuhle in Dörentrup Landscape Park is almost three hectares in size and is a lake. The former clay pond is surrounded by trees and is a beautiful place to relax. The water has a rich fish population and is up to nine meters deep. From tench to carp up to 20 kg, eel, pike, zander and catfish, many species can be found.
Hofladen Schweinerei
The farm store offers delicious pork, soft ice cream, coffee specialties, regional products, a children's playground, benches to linger on and petting chickens.
Former Dörentrup landfill
Here you can take a look at the impressive landfill cover made of photovoltaics. Next to the Helsiek landfill near Detmold, it is unique in Germany and produces a lot of electricity.
