This tour offers many panoramic views over the Blomberg basin.
About the market square in a rapid descent through the Niedere Tor, along the B1 to Wilbasen. Then it goes through fields, past Maspe, through a hollow path to Tintrup, up to the heights with beautiful views of the Blomberg basin. Reelkirchen attracts visitors with a view of the oldest church and the castle. Wonderful views await you through the fields towards Mossenberg. The name "Panoramaroute" definitely does justice to this tour.
You can discover these highlights along the route:

Niederntor
The Lower Gate (Niederntor) is the southern entrance to the town of Blomberg. An old trade route, the "Kölnische Landstraße", led through the gate into the town. Today, the Niederntor is the only remaining town gate in Lippe.

Church of Reelkirchen
The Protestant church of Reelkirchen is a listed church building in Reelkirchen, a district of Blomberg. Formerly dedicated to St. Liborius, the church was first mentioned in a document in 1231. The churchyard is partially surrounded by a quarry stone wall. The people of Reelkirchen are particularly proud of the 1000-year-old church lime tree in the churchyard.

Town Hall Blomberg
One of Blomberg's highlights is located directly on the market square - the town hall. It was built in 1587 and the three equally large half-timbered gables at the front of the town hall are particularly striking. To the left in front of the town hall is the "pillory" (16th century), where convicts were put on display in the Middle Ages.

TIP:
It is possible to visit the Niederntor as part of the city tours offered by Blomberg Marketing. Further information is available at the Blomberg Marketing office, Neue Torstraße 9, or on the website
