From Dreiheide, the route leads through the Düben heath landscape to the former royal seat of Torgau, where historically significant Reformation sites such as Hartenfels Castle and the town church of St. Mary's with Katharina Luther's gravestone await hikers.

From Dreiheide, the trail leads through a unique heathland landscape. Martin Luther is known to have stayed here in 1535 when he visited the Süptitz church. At that time, Süptitz was known as a wine-growing region and the Elector sent Süptitz wine to Luther on several occasions. Torgau impresses with its historic old town, which can be reached through the town park, where the market square invites you to linger. As the former residence of the electors, it is one of the places where the Reformation originated. Hartenfels Castle with its castle church is a must-see. Luther consecrated the castle chapel here in 1544. A special highlight is the town church of St. Mary with Katharina Luther's tombstone.
