This stage of the Luther Trail leads hikers almost exclusively along the river "Zwickauer Mulde", through small sections of forest, across floodplains and past small villages until they are greeted by the towers of the castle and town church of the almost 800-year-old town of Glauchau.

There are hardly any differences in altitude to contend with on this route. You leave the urban area of Waldenburg through Grünfelder Park. Interrupted only by small sections of forest, almost the entire route runs alongside the river. The almost 800-year-old town of Glauchau is nestled in the Erzgebirge basin. Glauchau also belonged to the territory of the Lords of Schönburg, who promoted the Reformation in their domain after 1542. They established a superintendency in Glauchau.

Directions

This stage of the Luther Trail starts in the old town of Waldenburg at the Mulde bridge. On the Mulde Valley Hiking Trail, the route always runs along the works canal, which runs parallel to the Zwickauer Mulde river through the valley. At the mouth of the works canal into the Zwickauer Mulde, the trail continues along the route marked with a green "L" on a white background past Gersdorf, Remse and Kleinbernsdorf. In Kleinbernsdorf, the Luther Trail leaves the Mulde Valley Hiking Trail and leads directly along the river. After passing under the A4 highway, you reach Reinholdshain, which is already a district of Glauchau. You cross it via Schulstraße. The Luther Trail and the Muldental hiking trail meet again at Relsner Eck. Continue along the marked route via Lungwitztalstraße to Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, where this stage ends.
